Lightel Develops Tip to Facilitate URM Connector Inspection
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
RENTON, Wash., March 5, 2020 -- Lightel Develops Tip to Facilitate URM Connector Inspection
As data volumes continue to increase, fiber optic interconnect systems are becoming denser and more modular. The URM fiber optic multi-channel connector is sometimes used to support the migration to 40G/100G. The URM connector provides connectivity for up to 8 channels with superior packing density resulting in significant space savings.
Building on our portfolio of over 120 tips, Lightel now offers a specialized tip for the URM connector. The tip is compatible with our CI-1100 and all our DI- inspection probes, and provides extended reach allowing the user to inspect populated modules.
Incorporated in 1999, Lightel Technologies was founded to bring advanced optical components, and equipment to the optical communications, aerospace, and sensor industries.
