Lightel Announces the Release of the FIBERFORGE™ Workstation

RENTON, Washington, Apr. 25, 2011 -- LIGHTEL today announced the upcoming release of its newest coupler workstation, the FIBERFORGE. Integrating the computer into the workstation itself allows for a degree of portability not seen in previous workstations. Developed as platform to encourage development of new fiber optic "tools", the FIBERFORGE is also capable of a high output level of Fused Biconic Taper(FBT) components in a production environment. Previous coupler workstations such as the CW-200B and the CW-5000 are deployed by the hundreds worldwide, and recognized as the benchmark for FBT manufacturing. The FIBERFORGE is available with a optional hydrogen generator, to make moving it from laboratory area to laboratory area quick and convenient. In addition to FBT products, tapers, Mode Field Adapters(MFAs), and other unique fiber based devices.
