Lightel Offers Broadband Faraday Rotator Mirrors
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
RENTON, Wash., December 11, 2017 -- Lightel® announces the availability of broadband faraday rotator mirrors (FRM).
Faraday Rotator Mirrors (FRMs) are used in a number of fiber optic applications including interferometric sensor systems. In general, FRM's performance parameters are specified over a central wavelength and narrow temperature range.
Lightel now offers a compact form factor broadband FRM (BFRM) that rotates the light 90 degrees with ≤1.0dB insertion loss over a wavelength range of 1550nm ±20nm and a temperature range of -20°C to +70°C.
The user can select from fiber pigtails with either SMF-28e or polarization maintaining PANDA, 250 micron bare fiber or 900 micron loose tube and FC, SC, or LC ultra and angle polished connectors.
Incorporated in 1999, Lightel Technologies was founded to bring advanced optical components, and equipment to the optical communications, aerospace, and sensor industries. Lightel maintains its headquarters in Renton, Washington, with additional manufacturing facilities for high volume, cost sensitive production offshore. Our products are sold worldwide, with distributors in key locations to offer the best customer services possible.
Since the initial passive component product development, Lightel has emerged as a technology leader several key product areas, including Fused Biconic Taper (FBT) coupler workstations, a full line of FBT components, Thin Film Filter (TFF), and other micro-optic components, video microscopes for inspection, cleaning, test and analysis.
